Vision and Purpose:
To assure the quality of education for the children of Norton Public Schools by helping new teachers maximize their effectiveness through professional growth opportunities and personal associations with colleagues, as in correlation with the teacher evaluation standards. Mentoring and induction will extend beyond the first year of teaching to support and retain highly qualified teachers until they achieve professional status.
In an effort to provide the best support to all new hires, it is the expectation of Norton Public Schools that all new hires, regardless of previous teaching or mentoring experience, will complete this program to acclimate them to our district’s culture, high standards, professional expectations and support their growth as educators.
